Sunnynook Baptist Church is a friendly family focused church. Our worship style is conservative and informal. We love to sing both hymns and choruses that are centred upon The Lord Jesus Christ and the word of God. Our worship services are focused on The Lord and His word, with a formal time of teaching from the scriptures.
We do not believe in the need to entertain people nor arrange our services to offer anything that would imitate the ways of the world. Worship is a time to honour The Lord Jesus Christ and seek His teaching and presence. We are reformed in our doctrine, believing in the biblical teachings of the doctrines of grace.
Sunnynook Baptist Church practices believer's baptism by immersion following a confession of faith in The Lord Jesus Christ. We also celebrate The Lord’s supper with a Communion meal on the first Sunday of every month.
Sunnynook Baptist Church offers many opporunities for fellowship and growth for all Christians. We have a number of young families with small children. We have a Sunday school to teach primary school-age children. Our youth group for teenagers meets weekly for Bible study. There are also several mid-week Bible study groups meeting in various homes in the community.
